Tonbridge School in Kent, a prestigious independent boarding school, was undergoing expansive renovation work. The project required frequent access for heavy construction vehicles, including articulated lorries, cranes and piling rigs. However, the existing tarmac roads around the school site were not designed for such loads and risked cracking under the pressure. The challenge was to create a robust, temporary roadway that would preserve the original surface while allowing heavy traffic to move safely and efficiently.
